    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a so-called pop-up type head-up display capable of preventing the solar light from being reflected by a back side of a combiner and being incident in a driver's eyes.
      SOLUTION: A combiner side gear-shaped second holding angle adjustment unit 22b is provided on a supporting part of a combiner 3. When the combiner 3 is collapsed, the holding angle of the combiner 3 is adjustable thereby. A pop-up type head-up display comprises a motor forming a turning power source of the combiner 3, a motor driving circuit to control the motor and an ECU. The signals including various kinds of information from a geomagnetic sensor, an inclinometer, and a GPS reception antenna are input to the ECU. When the combiner 3 is collapsed, the ECU estimates the position of the sun, and automatically adjusts the holding angle of the combiner 3.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a pick-up image and an image for guiding the route which are displayed in different color each other on the same area of a front windshield 110 in a head-up type display device for vehicle.
      SOLUTION: The display device is equipped with a concave reflecting mirror 30 which reflects the display light showing either the pick-up image or the image for guiding the route emitted from a liquid crystal panel 10 toward the front windshield 110, and an electric motor 40 which rotates the concave reflecting mirror 30 to change an incident area of the display light of the front windshield 110. A control circuit 320 rotates the concave reflecting mirror 30 with the electric motor 40, and emits the display light showing the pick-up image and the image for guiding the route to the same area of the front windshield 110.
