    • PURPOSE:To improve the scavenging efficiency and the ignitability of a spark plug by setting the blowing-up angles of a set of right and left, third scavenging ports at the same as or less than the blowing-up angle of a first scavenging port, and setting the blowing angles of the third scavenging ports larger than the blowing angles of a set of right and left, second scavenging ports. CONSTITUTION:On the inside surface of a cylinder 1, on the center of the top part of which a sparking plug 3 is arranged, and in the inside of which a piston 2 slides, an exhaust port 4 is opened laterally. On the opposite side of the exhaust port 4, a first scavenging port 6 is opened diagonally upward toward the exhaust port. Further, two, second scavenging ports 7a, 7b are opened diagonally upward on both right and left sides of the first scavenging port 6, and two, third scavenging ports 8a, 8b are opened between the scavenging ports diagonally upward. In this case, the blowing-up angles of both the third scavenging ports 8a, 8b are set at the same as or less than the blowing-up angle theta1 of the first scavenging port 6, and the blowing-up angles of the third scavenging ports are set larger than the blowing-up angle of both the second scavenging ports 7a, 7b.

    • PURPOSE: To enhance performance by equalizing swirls and scavenging pressures between respective cylinders. CONSTITUTION: A scavenging chamber 3 in which plural cylinders 2a to 2c are arranged in series to each other and which respectively surrounds the periphery of the respective cylinders 2a to 2c and is composed of mutually communicated single chambers, is formed, and new air is introduced into the cylinders 2a to 2c from the scavenging chamber 3 through plural scavenging holes 7 formed on a cylinder peripheral wall. The scavenging holes 7 of the respective cylinders 2a to 2c are formed so as to incline in the same direction in the tangent direction to the radial directional axis of the cylinders 2a to 2c, and plural new air introducing ports 4a to 4c are arranged on one side of the scavenging chamber 3 in response to the respective cylinders 2a to 2c. Partition walls 8a to 8c to form a new air flow running in the inclining direction of the scavenging holes 7 are arranged on the outer periphery of the respective cylinders 2a to 2c between outer peripheral surfaces of the respective cylinders 2a to 2c and an inner peripheral wall of the scavenging chamber 3.
