    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate quality control of a display panel and improve quality and reliability. SOLUTION: The display panel comprises a translucent glass substrate SUB1 which has a display region AR consisting of a pixel circuit in which a great number of display pixels SP constructed of a light emitting element and an active element are arranged in matrix form on a main surface and a sealing glass substrate SUB2 which covers the main surface of this translucent glass substrate SUB1 and is airtightly sealed by interposing a sealing agent SEL at the peripheral part of the translucent glass substrate SUB2. A dummy pixel DP constructed of an light emitting element and a passive element is arranged at the outside of the display region AR on the main surface of the translucent glass substrate SUB1, and the display pixel SP and the dummy pixel DP have respectively a positive electrode AD, an organic multi-layer film ELM, and a negative electrode KD formed in order in lamination on the main surface of the translucent glass substrate SUB1. In the dummy pixel, the organic multi-layer film ELM is exposed by removing a part of the negative electrode KD, and a current passage is formed between the other remaining part of the negative electrode AD and the positive electrode AD.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device having excellent reliability and high performance, by simultaneously solving problems such as formation of a transparent electrode, reduction of an injection barrier, reduction of damage in film formation, and film adhesion in addition.
      SOLUTION: In a structural body of organic EL elements used for the organic EL display device, a layered structure composed of an adhesive hole transporting layer 203 and a first metal layer 200 for protecting sputter damage or for adjusting an injection barrier, another layered structure composed of the first metal layer 200 for protecting the sputter damage or for adjusting the injection barrier and a second metal layer 200 for adjusting bonding, or both of the layered structures are included between a hole transporting layer 113 and a transparent electrode 201. Control of the injection barrier, reduction of damage in film formation, and enhancement of film adhesion can be simultaneously satisfied by using the above structure.
