    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating slurry by which the solidified state of slurry that contains an inorganic powder and becomes solidified by gelation is evaluated by a noncontact numeric conversion process, and a method for producing a powder compact that includes evaluating the solidified state of slurry by noncontact numeric conversion and forming a compact from the slurry. SOLUTION: In the method for evaluating slurry, the slurry that contains an inorganic powder, an organic dispersion medium having a reactive functional group and a gelling agent and becomes solidified by a chemical reaction of the organic dispersion medium and the gelling agent is used as a measuring object, T 1 relaxation time and/or T 2 relaxation time of NMR with the atomic nuclei of atoms constituting the organic dispersion medium and/or the gelling agent as nuclei to be examined is measured, and the solidified state of the slurry according to the chemical reaction is evaluated from the T 1 relaxation time and/or T 2 relaxation time. The method for producing a powder compact includes forming a powder compact from slurry while determining the solidified state of the slurry by using the method for evaluating slurry.
