    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rope excellent in abrasion resistance and impact resistance and formed by using a reflex twisted yarn because a conventional lame fiber is only a soft twisted yarn obtained by twisting a raw thread with a lame fiber and has very low strength, is inferior in extension thereof for a long distance for prevention of birds or in efficiency against strong wind, thereby is impossible to be used as same as a conventional rope at all, and further has unsuitable face as a decorative string, a string for decorating a human body, etc. SOLUTION: The objective rope 3c using reflex twisted yarns is obtained by twisting a reflex tape E' with one or several raw threads D or a core material F to provide one strand 4, and further directly twisting the obtained several strands 4. The objective rope 3c using reflex twisted yarns can be further obtained by twisting the strand 4 with other strands. The rope 3c using reflex twisted yarns not only is capable of manifesting the reflectivity, which is characteristics of a lame fiber or the reflex tape, etc., but also has a structure covering the fault (such as shortage of strength) of the lame fiber, the reflex tape, etc., and utilizing the strength of the raw threads.

    • PURPOSE:To provide the subject rope composed of specific three-layer structure and having high safety to cause little recoiling in the breakage of the rope because the load can be temporarily supported in the case of rope breakage with a remaining unbroken part left after the partial breakage of the rope. CONSTITUTION:An inner layer rope 1 having high elongation at break and low elastic coefficient is placed as a safety member at the center of the objective rope. An intermediate layer rope 2 and an outer layer rope 3 having a braided structure and an elongation at break smaller than that of the rope 1 are placed outside of the inner layer 1 as a member to support the tensile load. The inner layer rope 1 is preferably a three-component rope of high- elongation nylon yarn, etc., having an elongation at break of 30-35%. The material for the intermediate layer rope 2 and the outer layer rope 3 is preferably high-tenacity polyester yarn, etc. An interlayer friction decreasing means composed of a coating film made of a material having low frictional coefficient (e.g. fluororesin) is preferably placed between the rope 1 and the rope 2 to improve the performance and the reliability of the rope.
