    • PURPOSE:To greatly reduce the scale of a circuit, by realizing the use of a large-capacity frame memory by means of a buffer memory which stores the coded memories of a horizontal video period. CONSTITUTION:Both the horizontal and vertical periods of a color TV picture signal of a single system are divided for example into 4 parts respectively to display a picture. An A/D converter 35, etc. encodes the TV input signal into a digital signal, and buffer memories 84-87 are divided into 4 parts in terms of the time axis for the 1H period of the coded signal to be stored. The contents of these 4 memories are written in paralled into 4X4 frame memories 69-76 and then read out in parallel from these frame memories. The read-out coded signals of 4X4 systems is subjected to D/A conversions 45-47, and the analog signals are applied to a TV picture receiver.

The switch 17 is switched by the synchronous signal separated through the circuit 28 and a discrimination signal ID produced by a field discriminating circuit 29, and a double frequency signal 2fC given from a PLL circuit 30 is applied to the circuit 10. Then a double scanning signal of combination of fields is delivered through the converter 18.

    • PURPOSE:To make the number of scanning lines double to improve resolution, by controlling the variable delay means, which delays the video signal, by the horizontal deflection means which is operated synchronously with the double of the horizontal synchronizing signal. CONSTITUTION:The input video signal is applied to horizontal oscillating circuit 3, which oscillates at period H/2, through synchronizing separating circuit 1 to control oscillation. Field detecting circuit 11 detects an even field and flows a current to the deflection coil during this period by current switch 12 to improve interlace. Variable delay line control circuit 13 which is operated by pulses synchronized with the color subcarrier controls variable delay line 14 where the video signal is input, and the video signal has the time base compressed. This signal is reconstituted to a video signal by analogue switch 15 to drive Braun tube 21. Consequently, the video signal of the 1H period is compressed to output the signal twice, so that resolution can be improved.
