    • PURPOSE: To reduce the dead volume of a valve module to shorten purging time, and prevent the leakage by providing two cutoff valves having openings, respectively, and simultaneously opened and closed, and an extracting valve forming their connecting part and communicating with both the cutoff valves, and opening and closing the valves by a flat seal means. CONSTITUTION: A valve module 33 is formed of an internal pneumatic actuator, an inlet cutoff valve 33b, an outlet cutoff valve 33c, and an extracting valve 33d arranged in the connecting part of both the cutoff valves 33b, 33c, and each of the valves is allowed to communicate with an inlet port, an outlet port 18a and a vent port 17, respectively. A flat seal is used for the opening and closing of the valves, and the flat seal is opened and closed by pressing it from both sides by the pneumatic actuator, so that a sample liquid is prevented from being leaked by the wear or deterioration of the valve mechanism. In selection, both the cutoff valves 33b, 22c are simultaneously opened and closed, and the communicating extracting valve 33d is blocked when both the cutoff valves 33b, 33c are opened, and opened when they are closed. In purging, all the valves 33b-33d are opened. Since no dead volume is present in a passage or the valve mechanism, purging time can be shortened.

    • PURPOSE:To perform batching-off of a red blood cell component from a clot obtained from a pure blood sample added with no anti-agglutination agent by sucking a free red blood cell sample between the clot and an inner surface of a sampling tube. CONSTITUTION:A motor is rotated in such a manner that a vertical position of a nozzle 4 is controlled with an interface detection sensor to lower the nozzle 4. When the tip of the nozzle 4 advances into a sampling tube 1, the motor is rotated to press the tip of the nozzle 4 against an internal wall surface of the tube 1 as indicated by A. Under such a condition, the nozzle 4 is lowered between the internal wall surface of the tube 1 and a clot 2 and in the stage as indicated by B, the motor is stopped to suck a free red blood cell (p) about the clot 2 by a specified value. After the completion of the suction, the motor is started reversely to raise the nozzle 4. Thus, the free red blood cell is batched-off by a fixed value from the clot of a blood sample without an anti- agglutination agent thereby enabling highly accurate analysis from a pure serum.

    • PURPOSE:To enable the sampling and analyzing of an object to be inspected without adding dilution water even in the case of a limited amount of a sample, by injecting a hydrophobic liquid into an insufficient sample on the bottom of a container. CONSTITUTION:When a limited amount of a sample is left in a sample container 21, a control section 13 drives a hydrophobic liquid pump in a sampling device 8 to distribute a hydrophobic liquid in a storage tank 9 into the container 21. Being larger in the specific gravity than water, the hydrophobic liquid settles onto the bottom to form a lower layer while a sample forms an upper layer to obtain a clear division of layers. Then, with the sampling mode entered, the device 8 sucks and samples a specified amount of sample to be transferred to an analysis section. Thus, even a limited amount of sample can be analyzed without adding any dilution water.
