    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning unit capable of suppressing tension fluctuation in winding up filament yarn irrespective of the difference in bobbin diameter by the aid of a simple control system. SOLUTION: This spinning unit has respective rotatingly driving motors 23 and 10 for a funnel 5 and a spindle 7, a bobbin position moving means 30 for making a bobbin 6 undergo a vertical motion and a control section 14 for the means 30, and works so as to wind up a filament yarn Y on the bobbin 6 covered with the funnel 5 supported rotatably and undergoing a rotary driving while making a vertical motion relative to the funnel 5; wherein the control section 14 works as follows: the angle of rotation of a stepping motor 34 is judged by a relevant section 14a, thereby the present position of the bobbin 6 is judged; based on the judgment, the rate of rotation of the motor 23 for the funnel 5 is increased as the bobbin 6 comes close to the upper limit position of its vertical motion range, while the rate of rotation of the motor 23 is decreased as the bobbin 6 comes close to the lower limit position of its vertical motion range.

    • PURPOSE: To simplify a yarn ending or spinning initiation operation by suppressing ballooning with a simple mechanical auxiliary means instead of a complicated action of a yarn ending robot. CONSTITUTION: In the operation of yarn ending or spinning initiation in a cap fire spinning machine, a yarn 8 is wound back to a bobbin 4 in a cap 2 engaged with a spindle 5 from a cheese 9, cut with a cutter 10 and an end part of the yarn is pulled into a suction tube 11, then the tube 11 is inserted into a gap between an end of the cap 2 and the bobbin 4. Then, a suction cap 13 is loaded on the cap 2 and the yarn 8 is upwardly sucked through the gap between the end of the cap 2 and the bobbin 4, thus a rotatable roller 17 fitted to a robot is brought into contact with an end part of the cap 2 and the normally and reversely rotating the roller 17 to each the yarn 8 with a catching means 12 formed as a U-letter type hollow finger or hook, then the yarn 8 is guided between a pair of drawing rollers 14, thus cut a place at a prescribed length and the cut end and the tip of a fleece are mutually connected.
