    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method of purifying a sulfonimide salt, which is a useful substance as an electrolyte for an electricity storage device such as a secondary lithium ion battery.
      SOLUTION: The purification method is a method of separating and purifying a sulfonimide salt from a mixture of a sulfonate represented by formula (1): Rf

      1 represents a 1-12C fluorinated hydrocarbon group, and M represents an alkali metal} and a sulfonimide salt represented by formula (2): Rf

      1 in formula (1)} and includes, (A) a step of feeding the mixture into a two-phase solvent constituted of at least one species of hydrophobic organic solvents and an aqueous solution comprising an alkali metal carbonate or an alkaline earth metal carbonate as an additive and agitating them to extract the sulfonimide salt into the hydrophobic organic solvent phase and, (B) a step of isolating and collecting the hydrophobic organic solvent phase alone from the two-phase solvent.
