摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding method and an apparatus therefor, wherein a fiber as a reinforcing member can be aligned linearly in a composite material, without repeated occurrence of wavy distortion (undulation) of the fiber. SOLUTION: This apparatus comprises an upstream side holding means 40 for holding and fixing the upstream side portion of a supplied composite material, a tension providing means 97 for providing a tension to the downstream side relative to the moving direction, and a downstream side end portion holding means 90 for holding and fixing the downstream side end portion of the composite material. It also comprises an upstream side moving (transporting) means 50 located on the downstream side of the upstream side holding means 40, and a tension providing means 57 for providing a tension to the upstream side relative to the moving direction. It further comprises a downstream side moving (transporting) means 80 located on the downstream side of a heating and compressing means 63 for heating and compressing the composite material. The apparatus is so constructed that the amt. of moving the composite material by the downstream side moving means 80 is set to be larger than that by the upstream side moving means 50, and the tension providing means 97 of the downstream side end holding means 90 is actuated just before the actuation of the heating and compressing means 60.

SOLUTION: A continuous molding and vulcanizing device is constituted mainly of a first tension providing device 2 disposed just after a payoff mechanism 1 of a reinforcing cord tensile body W and movable reciprocatingly on the molding process side, a second tension providing device 4 set just before a molded product take-off mechanism 3, a preforming device 6 for preforming by assembling a molding material fed from a molding material feeder on the upper and lower faces of the reinforcing cord tensile body W disposed in tension by the given tension between the first tension providing device 2 and the second tension providing device 4, a vulcanizing press device 7 for vulcanizing a preformed continuous molded product and molding integrally and a carrying-out conveyor device 8 for carrying out a molded product from the vulcanizing press device 7, and all the devices including the second tension providing device 4 and the molded product take-off device 3 are disposed almost linearly.
