摘要： PURPOSE:To execute homogeneous melting with little electric power consumption and to obtain a high quality casting product with good reproductivity by moving an arcing on a metallic material for casting by Lorentz force which a moving magnetic field to the arcing is worked. CONSTITUTION:The material 4 is melted as moving the arcing 21 on the surface of the material 4 by acting Lorentz force, which is generated by working moving magnetic flux by an electromagnet 6 from orthogonal direction toward arcing 21, to the arcing 21 and said material 4. Now, arc voltage of arcing 21 detected is compared with a settled value of a voltage settler 271 by a comparing device 27 and it makes this result feedback to an exciting electric source 60 of the electromagnet 6, and the exciting current is adjusted and maintained to work to the suitable moving direction and speed of the arcing 21 and floating condition of the molten metal by a controlling circuit 7 formed by the above- mentioned flow. Then, after reaching to suitable melting condition for the material 4, the molten metal is dropped without a break into a mold 5 through a hole 31 of crucible 3 and a runner 51 by shaking movement, etc., of Lorentz force and rapid casting is executed.

摘要： PURPOSE:To permit casting of a low-oxygen content metal without inducing an electromagnetic disturbance to the outside by enclosing a high-frequency casting device which connects a crucible having a high-frequency heating coil and precision casting mold with a runner by a metallic cap member and pedestal part so that the inside of a casting chamber can be vacuum-sucked. CONSTITUTION:The crucible 2 contg. metal M to be cast such as Ti and the precision casting mold 3 made of lost wax are connected with the runner and the crucible part is enclosed with a cylindrical body 7 which is a heating chamber. The induction heating coil 23 by the frequency of several 10kHz-2MHz radio communication frequency is attached to the outside periphery thereof. After such inside space 47 is evacuated to a vacuum, an inert gas such as Ar is introduced therein in the reduced pressure state and the metal M in the crucible is melted and is cast through the runner into the precision casting mold 3. Since the device is shut off from the atm. and is electromagnetically and hermetically sealed, the precision casting contg. oxygen at the decreased ratio is produced without generating the disturbance by electromagnetic waves to the outside.
