    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To join the welding wire with the strength necessary for stably feeding the welding wire without generating any burrs in a joined part by joining the welding wires so that the side parts at the tip of the welding wires each and part to be joined is formed in a ridge shape and arranged opposite to each other in the mutually crossing manner. SOLUTION: The apex angle θ of the ridge of welding wires W1, S2 to be joined with each other is preferably 80-120 deg.. The welding wire W2 clamped to a movable side electrode D2 is brought into contact with the welding wire W1 clamped to a fixed side electrode D1 with the angle intersection between the side parts E1, D2 being 90 deg.. Energization is started as soon as the contact of the wires, and heat generation is started. The welding wires W1, W2 are constantly brought into contact with a center part of the wire diameter, the center part is melted, the melting is expanded in the outer circumferential direction, the welding wire W2 is pressed against the welding wire W1, the molten metal is projected, and energization is shut off immediately before the projected molten metal becomes burns. The procedure can be served for the welding without generating any burrs on the joined parts.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assure the covering width of concrete even in the weld zone in the same manner as for the base metal position of a welding closed type tie hoop by forming the welding closed type tie hoop by using a pair of split type electrodes having gentle longitudinally long dents, thereby eliminating the interference of the weld zone of the tie hoop and an axial reinforcing bar. SOLUTION: A high-strength steel bar material 2 is formed to an annular shape having an open and end and both ends facing each other are clamped respectively between the electrode pieces. The front ends of the bar material 2 are projected from the front ends of the split type electrodes and the split type electrodes are disposed to face each other in proximity. A power source is turned on and the weld electric power or weld time is determined. Either or both of the electrodes are then moved in opposite directions. Both ends of the bar material 2 come into contact with each other and energizing, heating, softening and welding are started. Both ends of the bar material 2 are softened by temp. elevation and are spread under deformation into the flat holes formed by mating the dents of the opposite split type electrodes by the pressing force exerted through the electrodes, by which both ends are put into the welded state. The energization is stopped and the deformation ends in the state that the pressing force is applied on both ends. The tie hoop having a projecting part 3 in a definite direction is obtd. when the split electrode pieces are opened above and below.

    • PURPOSE: To provide a method and device by which steel bars or wires used for arrangement of reinforcement are automatically aligned and supplied in order, the bar arrangement is efficiently welded with the use of materials, and many kinds of such bars are readily manufactured. CONSTITUTION: One group of bar stocks 19 for a bar arrangement consisting of steel bars or wires is set on a base for welding, and the other group of bar stocks 9 are successively supplied; in welding under the pinching conditions of welding electrodes 6 for the intersected parts of both of these bar stocks 19, 9, the other bar stocks 9 are transported to the dropping position of the welding part and stopped by a stopper 40b. The other bar stocks 9 stopped by the stopper 40b are transported one by one to the upper side part of the welding electrodes 6 to stand by, means of a rotary transporting means provided between a transporting means 40 and the welding electrode 6; and the other bar stock 9 is supplied from the rotary transporting means to a positioning means 12 for the bar stock, concurrently with the clearance between both electrodes after the welding of a preceding bar stock and with the movement of the bar stock, so that welding is performed by the pinching between both electrodes 6.
