    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve steam separation performance of a steam separator by making uniform thickness of a liquid film formed in a steam-water rising pipe and preventing an overflow of a liquid film flow.
      SOLUTION: A swirl vane 55 is fixed inside a riser 52 having a vertical part 53 and a bent part 54. A downcomer barrel 56 is provided outside the vertical part 53 of the riser 52 to define an annular downcomer space 58. A deck plate 60 is placed above the riser 52 and the downcomer barrel 56 via a predetermined space. An orifice 61 and a vent 62 are formed. A plurality of horizontal slits 64 are formed by being located between the bent part 54 of the riser 52 and the swirl vane 55 as a liquid film flow discharging part 63 outside in the bending direction of the bent part 54.
