    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent moisture discharged from a steam separator from increasing by reducing the pressure loss of the steam separator and enhancing a steam separation performance.
      SOLUTION: The steam separator 12 has an outer main swirler 150 and an inner assistant swirler 160 smaller than the main swirler 150, both of which are installed in a concentric circular pattern on the inner wall of the lower section side of a first stage inner cylinder 110. In the steam separator 12, a two-phase (gas-liquid) flow flowing in the vicinity of the axial center of the first stage inner cylinder 150 is separated into vapor and water by a centrifugal force when the two-phase (gas-liquid) flow passes through the assistant swirler 160, and the separated water (droplets) is guided to the main swirler 150 side and separated to the inner wall side of the first stage inner cylinder 110 by centrifugal force when the separated water passes through the main swirler 150.
