    • PURPOSE:To prevent chips from incursion into the inside of a pipe upon cutting the pipe, by forming a groove along the entire circumference of the pipe without the wall of the pipe being cut entirely to the thickness of the wall, and then by pushing to split at the groove. CONSTITUTION:A cutting machine 1 is secured to the outer periphery of a bus bar pipe 9 by means of a wheeled chain 5 and a fastening handle 13. A cutter blade 3 is rotated by an air motor 2, and a groove is formed along the entire circumference of the pipe 9 to a depth 0.1mm. shallower than the entire thickness of the wall of the pipe 9 by means of the rotation of a drive wheel 7. The contact of the cutter blade 3 to the pipe 9 is adjusted by a handle 11. Thereafter, the cutter is replaced with the one having a sharp edge, and then the uncut part of the above-mentioned groove is pushed to split by the sharp edge. Thereby, no chips one produced.
