摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain raw material glass useful as a ceramic raw material at a low cost by adding a regulating material to a waste such as municipal waste or sewage sludge, subjecting the resultant mixture to the melting treatment, then cooling the melt, forming low-melting glass and pulverizing the prepared glass to a suitable particle size. CONSTITUTION:A regulating material is added to a waste such as municipal waste, sewage sludge, fly ash, mine pulverized waste, river deposit or lake and marsh sludge. Phosphoric acid, boric acid, silicic acid, aluminic acid and ores, oxides, compounds of the acids, etc., are used as the regulating material. The waste is then preferably subjected to the melting treatment in a reducing atmosphere to produce a regulated molten stag, which is subsequently cooled and solidified to form low-melting glass having prescribed performances. The resultant low-melting glass is further pulverized to a suitable particle size to produce raw material glass as a ceramic raw material. Since the resultant raw material glass has a low melting point, a forming base material can be sintered at the low temperature when the raw material glass is mixed in the forming base material. Thereby, a low-temperature ceramic sintered compact having both low water absorptivity and shrinkage factor can be obtained.
