    • PURPOSE:To prevent unnecessary trip due to earthquake and to make it possible to monitor low frequency shaft vibration, by providing a high bound filter parallel with a bypass circuit which permits passing low frequency signals only on a turbine vibration monitoring device. CONSTITUTION:On a monitoring device for turbine shaft vibration, a comparator 15 is provided which produces signals to stop a rotating shaft, when vibration signals from a detector 12 exceed a standard value. And an earthquake filter 23 is provided between a switching device 25l and an integrator 13. The earthquake filter 23 cuts comparatively low frequency signals among vibrations of the rotating shaft. Also, by providing a bypass circuit 24 which bypasses the earthquake filter between the switching device 25 and the integrator 13, a timer 26 switches the current to the filter 23 side and to the bypass circuit 24 side periodically. Thus, the low frequency abnormal vibration can be detected through the bypass circuit 24.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance reliability of a turbine rotor and prolong its life by forming a steam supply, which shall supply a pure steam into a key seat through a micro-gap between any two adjoining pair of discs, and thereby giving the key seat a fine circumstance, in which there is no fear of generation of stress corrosion cracks. CONSTITUTION:A pure steam produced in a source 10 sent to a through hole 13 after passing a pipeline 11 is injected to the basis of adjoining disc 1, 1 from near a labyrinth packing 9 through a through hole 14 fromed in a nozzle diaphragm 8 to cause spattering of the back water stagnating there as well as intrudes in key seats 4, 5 from a gap 7 to put the under a pure circumstance, so as to eliminate such environment as generates stress corrosion cracks. Thus generation of cracks is prevented. Propagation of cracks can be suppressed by putting aside the ambient temp. of the disc 1 out of the range with fast propagation speed of stress corrosion cracks by means of adjustment of the steam temp. in the source 10. Further, good prevention is obtained by suppling the steam from the source 10 only during operation in the range with low pressure in starting only at the stages from first to fifth stage.

    • PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for starting until a steam turbine reaches target load by supplying low temperature steam to a low pressure turbine after a boiler is ignited to start the steam turbine, and by supplying steam to an intermediate pressure turbine and a high pressure turbine sequentially in accordance with rise of boiler steam temperature. CONSTITUTION:A high pressure bypass control valve 15 which is opened or closed to control the amount of main steam which is bypassed from an inlet of a high pressure turbine 3 to a boiler 1 when a steam turbine is started in accordance with the temperature of main steam is installed in a high pressure bypass pipe 14. Also, an intermediate pressure bypass control valve 17 which is opened or closed to control the amount of reheated steam at an inlet of an intermediate pressure turbine 6 which is bypassed to an outlet and supplied to a low pressure turbine 8 when the steam turbine is started in accordance with the temperature of reheated steam at the inlet of the intermediate pressure turbine 6 is installed in an intermediate pressure bypass pipe 16. Since it is possible to supply low temperature steam to the low pressure turbine 8 after the boiler 1 is ignited to start the steam turbine and to the intermediate pressure turbine 6 and the high pressure turbine 3 sequentially in accordance with rise of steam temperature of the boiler 1, the time required for starting can be shortened.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent stress corrosion cracks of a shrinkage fit rotor disc section by opening a vent passage communicating to a low pressure side in an intermediate section of a labyrinth packing provided in the inner circumferential surface of a nozzle diaphragm. CONSTITUTION:A through hole 11a is drilled in a nozzle diaphragm for a stage which is liable to stress corrosion cracks, one end of which is communicated to an intermediate section of a labyrinth packing 9a provided in the inner circumferential surface of the diaphragm, and the other end to an intermediate section of a labyrinth packing 9b of the following stage by way of a pipe 12. By this constitution, as the temperature of steam flowing from the labyrinth packing 9a into a key groove 4b is reduced to a temperature proportionate to the pressure in the following stage, the steam condensation in the key groove 4b can be prevented so that stress corrosion cracks of a shrinkage fit rotor disc section may be prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To shorten cooling time while preventing contact between a rotating part and a stationary part by introducing cooling air between a steam path between an internal casing and a rotor and a space between the internal casing and an external casing during the turning operation, and controlling the amount of cooling air, respectively CONSTITUTION:A cooling air is flowed through flow control valves 23 and 24 into a space between a high pressure external casing 12 and a high pressure internal casing 13 of a turbine. On the other hand, the cooling air is flowed from a main steam inlet part 12a through a flow control valve 19 into a steam path between a high pressure rotor 14 and the high pressure internal casing 13. The amount of air flow in the steam path is controlled by the flow control valve 19 according to turbine high pressure extension difference detection signal to eliminate rotor shortage condition. Also the flow control valves 23 and 24 are controlled by a signal of temperature difference between a casing upper half metal temperature detection thermocouple 27 and a casing lower half metal temperature detection thermocouple 28 to suppress the bending of the casing within the area that a rotor is not made in contact with a stationary section. Thus the number of days for cooling is shortened.
