摘要： PURPOSE:To secure smooth traveling at the time of quick acceleration or deceleration by providing a switching control means for giving a switching signal when a speed difference between a front wheel and a rear wheel is above a predetermined value and a switching means for switching 2-wheel driving to 4-wheel driving based on said signal. CONSTITUTION:Car speed sensors 1A, 1B detect the speed of front wheels 5A, 5B while car speed sensors 2A, 2B detect the speed of rear wheels 6A, 6B. When difference between the speed of the front wheels 5A, 5B and the speed of the rear wheels 6A, 6B becomes above a predetermined value, a switching control means 3 gives a switching signal and, on receiving this signal, switching means 4 carries out switchover from 2-wheel driving to 4-wheel driving. As a result, switching is carried out from 2-wheel driving to 4-wheel driving at the time of quick acceleration or deceleration or when traveling on a rugged road, securing smooth traveling.

CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 10 calculates the speed of a vehicle by the signal of a distance sensor 17 so store it when an FF13 is set by the operation of a switch 16. If a difference between the calculated speed and a target speed is generated, the internal pressure of an actuator 11 is controlled by a control signal 10A, and the target speed is held by a throttle valve 12. When the handle turning angle is deviated much, the microcomputer 10 does not generate said control output for the operation of the switch 16. However, even if the turning angle becomes large during the control operation, the control operation is not stopped. When the canceling switch 18 is operated during this control operation, the microcomputer 10 outputs a signal 10c to reset the FF13, and a release valve 11b is opened, and the operation force for the throttle valve 12 is lost.
