    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a power-cable disaster-preventing sheet whose allowance with reference to an accident can be increased and whose application limit to an actual line is reduced by a method wherein a plurality of sleeve-shaped sheet bodies whose diameter is larger than the outside diameter of a power cable are piled up and their surface is coated with a nonflammable polyvinyl chloride or silicone rubber resin. SOLUTION: A power-cable disaster-preventing sheet 6 is formed to be a sleeve shape whose diameter (ϕ500mm) is larger than the outside diameter of a power cable 1, it is formed so as to cover the power cable 1, and it is flexible. In addition, the sheet 6 is formed in such a way that three or four sheet bodies 7 are piled up so as to be sewn together and that a coating layer 8 which is composed of a nonflammable polyvinyl chloride or silicone rubbler resin is formed on their outermost face so as to be set to an airtight state which prevents not only the circulation of the air but also the outflow of oil or smoke. Every sheet body 7 is an aramid sheet which is formed by weaving aramid fibers which are provided with high strength and with heat resistance, and its specifications are decided in such a way that its warps and its wefts are respectively at 300 deniers.

    • PURPOSE: To apply a wood drum to a shaft at various outer diameters by inserting female screw-type attachments into through holes of flange plates of both sides of a wood drum, and fitting male-type attachments, which are respectively provided with a through hole, to the female screw-type attachments and disconnecting therefrom. CONSTITUTION: A wood drum 1 is formed of a cylindrical winding barrel 2 to be wound with a cable and disk-shape flanges 3a, 3b unified with both ends of the winding barrel 2. In this case, a through hole is provided at each center of both the flanges 3a, 3b, and attachments are fitted thereto. Namely, female screw-type attachments 8a, 8b and male screw-type attachments 9a, 9b to be engaged with the female screw-type attachments are arranged. The female screw-type attachments 8a, 8b are inserted into the through holes of both the flange plates 3a, 3b, and while the male screw-type attachments 9a, 9b are fitted to the female screw-type attachments. At this stage, the male screw-type attachments 9a, 9b are provided with through holes 4a, 4b.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense the tension in laying a power cable, and lessen the burden added to the power cable, and making a boring machine compact, by arranging the boring machine (cable supply machine) on the way, and laying the cable. SOLUTION: A rail 3 is laid on the ceiling of a tunnel, and this rail 3 is provided with a plurality of trolleys, and power cables 1 are supported, being scattered with a cable hanging rope 4. Frames are made at fixed intervals of boring machine supporting members 9 within the tunnel, and here a boring machine is fixed with a bolt, etc. Accordingly, the power cable 1 supported, with its weight dispersed, is sent out being caught with the boring machines 8 arranged at specified intervals, and it can be extended long without adding large tension to the tip of the power cable 1. Moreover, an electric roller may be used in place of this boring machine.

    • PURPOSE:To detect the position of a cable accurately at real time by receiving the acoustic waves that the acoustic wave oscillator attached at places in the length direction of the submarine cable in laying has transmitted, with the receiver mounted on a hull position surveying ship. CONSTITUTION:A laying ship advances in the arrow direction while veering away a submarine cable 1. Oscillators 5-7, which generate acoustic waves P1-P3 different in frequency, are attached in advance at proper intervals to the cable l by a buoy 12 and an acoustic device separator 11. A surveying ship 3 mounts a hull position measuring instrument 9, a depth meter 10, and an acoustic wave receiver 8, and receives the acoustic waves from the acoustic wave oscillators 5-7, and seeks the situation of the cable 1 from the direction of the acoustic waves and the strength, and enters the laying situation in a chart. After end of the measurement, the acoustic device separator 11 is operated, and by the buoyancy of the buoy 12, the acoustic wave oscillators 5-7 are surfaced to the sea level for withdrawal. Hereby, the laying condition of the cable 1 can be detected in real time.
