摘要： PURPOSE:To always apply a predetermined back tension to a ribbon mounted to be wound in a rolled on a supply shaft irrespective of a diameter of the roll. A current of a motor 23 for the ribbon back tension to apply a back tension to the ribbon is controlled by operating a rotary force at the shaft 21 based on a measured result to apply the a given back tension to the ribbon 27 mounted at the shaft 21 irrespective of a change in the diameter of the roll.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of a printing quality and the occurrence of slack and ruck in a roll material by a method wherein a tension member is rotated in a retracting direction as the roll material wound around a pay-out core is payed out, whereby a deflection amount of a plate spring is decreased, and a rotating load to be applied to the pay-out core is reduced. CONSTITUTION:With progress of printing, a ribbon diameter wound around a pay-out core 10 is decreased from R1 to R2, and a ribbon diameter wound around a take-up core 33 is increased from r1 to r2. In this manner, according to a relation of force, based on a ribbon feed force, a tension member 13 is rotated counterclockwise (in a retracting direction) against the pressing force of a tension spring 17, and a deflection amount delta of a plate spring 20 is de creased from delta1 to delta2. In this manner, as the ribbon diameter wound around the pay-out core 10 is decreased, a rotating load to be applied to the pay-out core is reduced. In a printer, a printing ribbon 11 wound around the pay-out core 10 with an ink surface outside is used.
