    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for tire tread capable of keeping a good grip performance even when rubber temperature is increased when a tire is traveled and a pneumatic tire using the rubber composition.
      SOLUTION: The rubber composition for tire thread comprises (A) a substrate rubber and (B) an ionic bond-containing thermoplastic resin as essential components. The pneumatic tire is obtained by using the rubber composition. The rubber composition further preferably comprises (C) an oil component.
