Consequently, neither the wide conversion lens 30 nor the adapter ring 18 need to be made large-size in order to prevent the front end of the lens barrel 14 disposed at a projection position P1 from abutting against a lens 3006 of the wide conversion lens 30.

The color balance of an image picked up by the imaging means is acquired as the environmental information and the emitting color of illumination light is controlled so as to be matched with the acquired color balance.
