    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup which can suppress the interference light caused by the neighboring layers and improve the unsteady tracking error signals detected by DPP when recording or reproducing on a multi-layer optical disk which has two or more recording layers on one side. SOLUTION: This optical pickup has an optical component which suppresses the interference light caused by the neighboring layers and received by the photodetector when applied to an optical information recording medium which has at least two or more recording layers on one surface. In this way, it is possible to suppress the interference light caused by the neighboring layers and received by the photodetector, especially by the 1st and 2nd photodetectors.
