    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the jib flap without damaging the weight reduction of a jib in a crane in which the jib is fitted to a tower jib, and to eliminate an adverse effect on the strength aspect by regulating unnecessary operations in a condition where no flaps and generated. SOLUTION: A tension detector 25 is provided on one end part of a jib- derricking rope 9 as a means to compare the magnitude of the mount MF of turning a jib 5 forward with the magnitude of the moment MR of turning the jib 5 rearward. The tension T exerted in the jib-derricking rope 9 is detected by the tension detector 25, and when the tension T is generated, the moment MF is judged to be larger than the moment MR. When the tension T is zero, the moment MR is judged to be not less than the moment MF, the drive signal is outputted to a traction device to add the traction force P to a traction rope 22. In such a condition, the moment PLD is generated, the moment MF is larger than the moment MR, the flap of the jib 5 is prevented, and a danger of the backward overturning and collapse of the jib 5 can be avoided.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To widen a hoisting range of a crane by connecting an upper boom and a lower boom together by means of a special extension with a sheave and supporting the special extension with a sheave by means of a boom supporting rope via an intermediate part arranged in the special extension. SOLUTION: A special extension 7 with a sheave is inserted in the middle of a boom 1. An intermediate supporting part 8 usually used in a long boom is installed from boom supporting ropes 5a, 5b. When a hoisting rope 9 and a hook 10 are hung, a bend of the boom is absorbed by the intermediate supporting part 8. In the case of a heavier load, a supporting rope 12 is installed between the top part of a live mast 11 and the special extension 7 with a sheave for supporting the load. When the supporting rope 12 is installed to the special extension 7 with a sheave from the top part of the live mast 11 in this way, a normal crane structure is accomplished, so that a heavier load can be hoisted in comparison with a structure provided with the intermediate supporting part 8.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pin coupling device of construction machine with which the size is put within the limit value of vehicle width to enable running on a public road without requiring disassembly of the pin coupling device after separation of a body frame. SOLUTION: A lug 5 on one frame is overlapped on a lug 6 on another frame so that a pin case is fastened. The first detention part 16 and second detention part 26 are furnished on the rib 13 of the pin case. At execution of works, a bracket of a hydraulic cylinder 7 is secured to the first detention part 16, and a rod is elongated so that a coupling pin 8 is allowed to penetrate the two lug holes 5a and 6a, and thereby two lugs are put in pin coupled condition. When machine body is transported, the rod is contracted and the coupling pin 8 is drawn off from lug hole 6a, and after separation of two frames, the rod is elongated so that the pin 8 is allowed to penetrate the lug hole 5a, and an end plate 20 is fastened. In this condition, the bracket of the hydraulic cylinder 7 is set off from the first detention part 16, and the rod is contracted, and the bracket is secured to the second detention part 26.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically control a crane with truck, so that optimum balance of load to main body side and that to a weight truck side for lifting load can be obtained, and an operator can be clearly grasp the control condition. SOLUTION: In a crane 1 which hauls a weight truck 5 at a rear part of a main body 2, a tension detector 22 is installed at an end part of a boom derricking rope 12, and a tension detector 23 is installed between a lower end of a suspension pendant rope 13 and a weight truck 5. The load at the main body side is operated on the basis of the tension of a mast derricking rope 12, and the load at the weight truck side is operated on the basis of the tension of the suspension pendant rope 13. And the optimum ratio of the load to the main body side 2 and that to the weight truck side 5 for not tipping, and keeping the stable position of the crane 1, is predetermined, and the hoisting and lowering amount of the mast derricking rope 12 is automatically controlled to adjust the tension of the same 12, and to make the current load ratio agreed with the predetermined one, thereby the load to the main body side and that to the weight truck side can be balanced.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance safety of work by judging whether the work mode of a crane set by an operator coincide with the specification of an actually mounted machine, and preventing the erroneous operation of the crane to be generated caused by the mistake of the operator. SOLUTION: A means such as a boom detecting means 11 or a jib detecting means 12, or the like for detecting the presence of respective attachments is provided, and a mode setting switch 19 for setting and inputting the work mode by an operator is provided. A set specification signal S from the mode setting switch 19 and detected signals (B, J,...) from respective detecting means 11 to 17 are sequentially verified, the work mode of the crane is displayed on a mode display lamp 20 when the set specification signal S coincides with all detected signals, and the crane is made into the operable state by operating a work safety device. When the set specification signal S does not coincide with the detected signals, an alarm generating device 22 is operated to inform an operator of the different work mode, and the crane is made into the inoperable state.
