CONSTITUTION:A positive temperature coefficient thermistor 64 is energized with current from a magneto coil out of a multipolar generator when an engine is started, whereby resistance is suddenly enhanced along with a temperature rise, and it is quickly reached up to an equilibrium temperature where heat generation and heat balance on the basis of a temperature difference between the inner part and the circumference are well balanced. Since thermowax 67 is not yet heated at the initial stage, a starter jet needle 80 is situated upward, and fuel is supplied from a starter jet 82. With the engine turned to a warm-up state, the wax 67 is fully heated into expansion, through which the starter needle 80 is moved to the side of the starter jet 82 and closed, thus a fuel increment supply is controllable within the specified time after engine starting.

    • PURPOSE:To enable the proper ignition timing to be set in accordance with an octane number or the like of fuel in use by preparing two or more predetermined advance timing characteristics, used for calculating an advance angle of the ignition timing, while additionally providing a selector switch selecting each advance timing characteristic. CONSTITUTION:An engine speed corresponding signal or the like, detected by a pickup device 17, is input to a switching circuit 23 through each waveform shaping circuit 18A, 18B and a frequency divider circuit 19 in an ignition unit 15, thus an ignition device, comprising an ignition coil 13 and a spark plug 14, is driven. A microcomputer 22 calculates an advance angle of ignition timing being based on the predetermined advance timing characteristic, controlling the ignition timing in accordance with this arithmetic result. Here the two or more advance timing characteristics are built in the microcomputer 22. While a selector switch 16, selecting the advance timing characteristic used in this time advance angle calculation, is provided. The selector switch 16 is controlled in accordance with, for instance, an octane number or the like of fuel in this time use, selecting the suited advance timing characteristic.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent an internal combustion engine from raising its temperature, by providing a detecting means for detecting a change in the attitude of a propelling unit body, exceeding a predetermined value, and a control means for lowering the rotational speed of the engine in order to reduce the heat generation of a cooling mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A trim sensor 15 delivers a detection signal to a control means so that a trim angle is indicated on a trim meter 17 in accordance with a variation in output voltage. Further, when a trim angle exceeds a predetermined value so that a water supply port 12 is exposed above the water surface, the control means 16 detects such a condition, and therefore lowers the rotational speed of an internal combustion engine 6 while it energizes an warning lamp 16 and a warning buzzer 19. Accordingly, the heat generation of a cooling mechanism may be reduced even though the engine 6 is operated with no water, and further it is possible to restrain a temperature rise due to an increase in the rotational speed of the engine 6. Further, it is possible to eliminate the possibility of breakage of the support section of the propelling unit body 5 by vibration of the engine 6 when a variation in the attitude of the propelling unit body 5 exceeds a predetermined value.

    • PURPOSE:To aim at enhancing the control ability and starting ability of an internal combustion engine, by providing such an arrangement that a pump is driven when a power source switch for the engine is turned on to feed fuel into a fuel supply passage from a fuel tank. CONSTITUTION:When a power switch 4 is turned on, the voltage of a battery is applied to a power source circuit 6 for a pump drive means and a control means 15. The output of an AND circuit 26 is high so that the output of a NAND circuit 34 becomes low to deenergize a transistor 38, resulting in energization of a transistor 9 in a power source circuit 9. Accordingly, a motor driven pump 7 is operated to feed fuel into a fuel hose from a fuel tank. When the pressure in the fuel hose is increased, a detection switch in a pressure detecting sensor 31 is opened so that the output of the AND circuit 26 becomes low. Accordingly, the output of the NAND circuit 34 becomes high to energize the transistor 38, resulting in deenergization of the transistor 9 in the power source circuit 6. Therefore, the power source voltage of the motor driven pump 7 is cut off and the pump is therefore stopped.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the output of an engine by independently control ignition timing for respective cylinders at least in an operational range of the engine revolution speed equal to or more than a prescribed engine speed. SOLUTION: When the engine speed exceeds a prescribed low speed, an ignition circuit 12 turns a transistor 16 on, and grounds an initial ignition circuit 13. And it also controls a thyristor 17 so as to turn it on/off based on rectangular waves where pulse signals from a pulsar coil are rectified in wave form. Effective ignition timing for respective cylinders is independently controlled while a first and a second cylinder are so constituted as to be simultaneously ignited effectively and ineffectively, so that ignition is so controlled as to be fired at timing in response to characteristics required by each cylinder. Ignition timing for each cylinder is so designed as to be independently controlled, for example, as for a cylinder liable to be suffered from knocking, the quantity of its timing advance is made small and the like in such a way that it can be ignited at the optimum timing, and the output of an engine can thereby be increased.
