      SOLUTION: When a recording material carrying a toner image is rubbed by a guide member 41 while moving from a transfer means to a fixing means, the recording material is triboelectrically charged into a reverse polarity to the charge polarity of the toner. Thereby, charges in the reverse polarity to the polarity of the toner are given to the recording material by rubbing with the guide member 41 to improve a function of electrostatically holding the toner image carried by the recording material. This suppresses the toner on the recording material from electrostatically moving to a fixing roller and suppresses generation of forward dust.
