    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detaching tool for a LA connector capable of safely and easily attaching/detaching the LA connector from an arrester by means of an indirect hot line method.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide easy and safe insulator mounting and removing methods by insulated holding rods. SOLUTION: In the insulator mounting method, an insulator 40 having a communicating hole 41 is mounted by two insulated holding rods 50a and 50b and an insulator sandwiching tool. The insulator 40 is held in a mounting position with the insulator sandwiching tool by using a cotter pin 1, a split pin 10 and a mounting tool 20. A grip part 5 of the cotter pin 1 is held by a grip part 51a of one insulated holding rod 50a and the cotter pin 1 is inserted into the communicating hole 41 of the insulator 40. A head of the split pin 10 is inserted into a holding hole of the mounting tool 20 while the cotter pin 1 is kept in a state where an insertion hole 3 of the cotter pin 1 is turned to an insertion direction of the split pin 10. The held split pin 10 is inserted into the insertion hole 3 against spring force of a leg part by holding a base part 21 of the mounting tool 20 by the grip part 51b of the other insulated holding rod 50b.
