摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily rewrite interference fringe and to reduce storage capacity by converting complex amplitude data into the amplitude data only of a positive value, holding a parameter for conversion and reconverting the data into the amplitude data of positive or negative value by using the parameter at the time of rewriting the interference fringe. SOLUTION: The interference fringe is calculated by an interference fringe calculation means 21. A conversion parameter decision means 22 decides the conversion parameter for converting the interference fringe into the amplitude of the positive value. A hologram data generation means 23 converts it into the amplitude data of the positive value and adds the conversion parameter so as to generate hologram data. A reception means 25 reads the amplitude data and bias and transfers them to a hologram data holding means 26, and also transmits and displays the data of the interference fringe on a hologram display means 28. Then, the interference fringe is synthesized by converting the amplitude data of the positive value into the amplitude data of the positive or the negative value by using the held parameter at the time of rewriting the interference fringe.

The inclination of the display elements 10 to 13 is changed by voltage controlling electrode wirings 14 and 15 for impressing voltage to control the inclination of the display elements 10 to 13, so that the line-of-sight direction of the reflected picture viewed by an observer is changed. Namely, the picture by plural view points is projected by one display element and projected to the display elements 10 to 13 in synchronization with a picture element source presentation means, and reflected light beams from the display elements(mirror) 10 to 13 are observed as one picture element, then an observer observes one picture as the entire display element.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of displaying a computer generated hologram and a device therefor which achieves a three dimensional image display with high definition and a high presence in a less calculation amount by using a visual characteristic of a person. SOLUTION: An entire display object is described at a plurality of resolution levels, and interference fringes of a hologram is calculated (step 101) at the time of displaying them at a rough resolution and stored (step 102). And then, an observer's line of sight is detected; an object on the line of sight of a person's high visual identification ability is detected (step 103); and the interference fringes at the time of high definition display is calculated (step 104, 105). These interference fringes that are recalculated and already calculated are synthesized (step 106) and displayed (step 107). A calculation amount of high definition interference fringes becomes the larger, a display space becomes the larger, while a calculation amount of the interference fringes with the object on the line of sight is limited to the space corresponding to a visual area and is, therefore, substantially reduced. At step 104, a further reduction in the calculation amount is possible by restricting a calculation range to a distance up to the object.

After all the movement groups have been processed, contents of each buffer is integrated in one buffer, and the interference fringes of the object after a time of Δt are formed without the hologram re-calculated from the beginning.

In this case, the object is defined as the set of point objects, and the wave surface of the light projected on the hologram surface is obtained for the whole object. In the same way, the wave surface of a reference light is obtained from the basic reference table 56, and multiplexed by the previously obtained projected pattern so that the interference pattern of the hologram can be obtained.
