    • PURPOSE:To restrict a difference between the luminance of a display scope and the luminance of the surrounding of the display scope by locating a projection limiting plate at the intermediate place between a collimation optical system and a projection optical system. CONSTITUTION:A lighting system comprises a collimation optical system C and a projection optical system P, and a projection limiting plate 4 for shading the center of a projected surface to form a non-projected part 8 is located at the intermediate place between the collimation optical system C and the projection optical system P. The diffuse reflectance luminance on a display scope of a projected surface 12 is thereby restricted, and a difference between the luminance of the display scope and the luminance of the surrounding of the display scope can be restricted, for example fatigue of an observer's eyes caused by an increase in the difference between the luminance of a television faceplate and the luminance of the surrounding of the television faceplate is reduced and a headache of the observer is prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To sufficiently mix colors even in a short distance and, at the same time, to prevent the occurrence of differences between the colors of the light made incident on an optical fiber and the colors of the light appearing at the outgoing end of the fiber by providing composite picture elements respectively composed of plural picture elements of each color of R, G, and B on the incident ends of optical fibers. CONSTITUTION:Each composite picture element 7 is composed of R, G, and B picture elements 9, 10, and 11 uniformly distributed within the outline 8 of an optical fiber. This composite optical fiber 7 is constituted in such a way that the area ratio of R, G, B included therein is almost the same as the ratio of respective totalized areas of all R, G, B picture elements in the optical fiber even when any part of the optical fiber is segmented with a circle having the area by three picture elements. Light emitted from a light source 5 and passed through the composite picture element is made incident on the optical fiber 4 after the light is adjusted in light quantity and rays of light of three colors are emitted from the outgoing end of the fiber 4 in an arbitrary ratio. Therefore, all colors can be displayed by one optical fiber and, at the same time, a change in color caused by the watching angle or a bend of the fiber can be prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To radiate sufficient lighting to an object opposed to a television camera and to pick up an excellent stereoscopic video image by providing a lighting device radiating an object from two directions at pickup and able to regulate the lightness in each direction to a telephone set main body. CONSTITUTION:A video telephone set is provided with the 1st and 2nd lighting sources apart from each other at two positions on the device upper part, the 1st lighting light source 6a is connected to a power supply 14 via a dimmer 7 provided with a dimmer operating section 8, the 2nd lighting light source 6b is connected directly to the power supply 14 and the maximum illuminance of the lighting source 6a is set brighter than the illuminance of the lighting source 6B. The dimmer operating section 8 is operated toward light diminishing direction to make the lighting dark and operated toward light increasing direction to made the lighting bright. Moreover, the lighting source 6b is always provided with a prescribed illuminance and the maximum illuminance of the lighting source 6a is set brighter than the illuminance of the lighting source 6b, then the brightness of the object is regulated optionally by operating the dimmer operating section 8 and the lightness of the object in the horizontal direction is varied optionally to pick up a video image with a stereoscopic sense.

    • PURPOSE:To irradiate an object to be photographed by an illumination being enough for an image pickup without giving dazzle to the object to be photographed by providing a lighting equipment for irradiating near infrared rays, and a television camera having an image pickup characteristic for covering from a visible light region to a near infrared-ray region, on a telephone set main body. CONSTITUTION:When a telephone receiver 5 is picked up, a near infrared-ray light equipment 6 provided on a telephone set main body is lighted, a caller's face being an object to be photographed is irradiated by near infrared rays, a reflected illuminating light is brought to image pickup with high sensitivity by a television camera 1A, and it is brought to monitor display on a display 4. Subsequently, this image is sent as a video signal to a transmitting/receiving part 2, transferred to a telephone set of the other party being a called party side, and brought to monitor display as a distinct image on the display 4 of the telephone set of the other party. That is, according to this inversion, a caller's face being an object to be photographed is illuminated by near infrared rays by which eyes scarcely sense brightness, therefore, a sufficient illumination irradiates without giving dazzle to the object to be photographed, and a distinct and satisfactory image can be obtained.

    • PURPOSE: To attain size reduction, simplify the constitution, and inexpensively vary a color temperature by projecting the separated transmitted light and reflected light respectively different in a light color through a light quantity adjusting part, a color mixing part and a light projecting part. CONSTITUTION: The light source light from a main light source 1 is separated into two parts of the yellow light in the transmitting direction and the blue light in the reflecting direction (the vertical direction) on a blue reflecting type dichroic mirror 4. A light quantity adjusting part 5 adjusts a quantity of light of the yellow light and the blue light. A color mixing part 6 mixes the yellow light and the blue light with each other. A light projecting part 7 projects the color mixed light. When directivity and color mixing performance of the radiated light are highly valued, it is desirable that, for example, optical paths of two light of the blue light and the yellow light are made almost parallel to each other by devising the constitution of the light projecting part 7.

    • PURPOSE:To improve luminance in the inside of a casing and to improve picture quality by using a shielding plate with diffusivity as the shielding part of a shielding plate which covers the outside of the effective screen of a display means. CONSTITUTION:The virtual image of a video displayed on the effective screen 2 by illuminating the effective screen 2 of an LCD unit 1 by a back light 4 and inputting it from a video signal input terminal 14 to the LCD unit 1 is recognized by the human eyes 9 by using an ocular 5. At this time, the shielding plate 30 Is seen as a background with arbitrary luminance for the human eyes 9 by forming the screen limiting window 8 of a translucent and gray shielding plate 30 in the same size as that of the effective screen 2, and illuminating the shielding plate 30 with the light of the back light 4 transmitting a glass substrate 3. Also, the irregular reflection of the light emitted from the effective screen 2 of the LCD unit 1 can be suppressed by applying delustering inner coating to the inside of a black cabinet 6 and the shielding plate 30 and shielding external light, and the luminance of the shielding plate 30 can be set at arbitrary luminance between the maximum and minimum luminance of a video signal waveform.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a lighting system capable of preventing deterioration of efficiency due to dust or the like and securing strength as a single unit of a light conductor, where fine pitches of a light emitting end are freely set in the case of combination with a diffusing plate so that nonuniformity of luminance at a light emitting surface can be eliminated so as to obtain uniform end emitting light, while pitches of the light emitting end are arbitrarily set in the case of absence of a diffusing plate so that light having orientation which can be freely set can be realized. CONSTITUTION:A lighting system comprises a light conductor 2A; a linear light source L arranged in parallel to a light incident side 3A of the light conductor 2A; and a reflector 5A for reflecting light penetrating the light conductor 2A. The light conductor 2A is constituted of a piece of transparent plate, where the upper surface and one side surface are finished into a flat shape while the lower surface is formed in at least two steps or more toward the other side surface so as to form light emitting sides.
