    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability and precision of extraction of an area of interest in an input image.
      SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a watershed generation part 121 which receives a light-shade image such as a medical image like an MRI image and a CT image and deforms the light-shade distribution shape of the input image into a watershed shape, an image segmentation part 122 which segments the image into small areas surrounded with a watershed according to the image having the light-shade distribution shape deformed, and an area merging part 13 which merges small similar areas in the image segmented into the small areas, and extract the outline of the area of interest as a continuous line to extract the shape of the area of interest.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively present sensation information, which is close to natural human sensation employing a simple constitution, by changing the relationship between the amount of direction movement and the photographing direction of an actual picture image within a prescribed condition. SOLUTION: A magnetic coil sensor 10 and a magnetic coil sensor 11 of the person to be presented measure the azimuth of the body trunk of the person and the data relative to the azimuth of the person's head and the respective azimuths are computed by a signal processing section 13. Then, from the computed respective azimuths, a picture azimuth computing section 14 computes the azimuth of the presented picture by a function and a photographing direction changing means 17 directs an actual picture photographing means 16 to the computed picture azimuth under the control of an actual picture direction control section 15. For example, in front of the trunk, the actual picture in the direction of the head is presented. In the left and the right sides, the actual pictures in the outer directions are presented. Thus, in an actual photographing space or in a virtual space, visual information is obtained employing the same sensation in the actual space in a certain range and wide range visual information is obtained by a small head motion.
