    • PURPOSE:To display the remaining tape length when the tape is traveling not at a constant speed, by driving the tape at a constant speed and alternating the travel not at a constant speed to the travel at a constant speed and then displaying the remaining tape length on the basis of the rotational cycle of a reel, the thickness of the tape and the diameter of a reel hub respectively. CONSTITUTION:When a tape is traveling at a constant speed, a tape residue detecting circuit 10 calculates the residue of the tape based on the rotational cycle of a feed reel which is detected by a rotation detector 7, the thickness of the tape obtained by a tape thickness signal producing circuit 8, and the diameter of a tape reel obtained by a hub diameter signal producing circuit 9 to display the remaining tape length at a display circuit 11. While the remaining tape length display switch 1 is operated when the tape is traveling at speed different from the constant value, a constant speed traveling state is secured via a traveling control circuit 3, a latch circuit 2, etc. to display the remaining tape length. Then the tape is rewound back to the starting position of the constant speed traveling to be stopped there. In such a way, the remaining tape length can be displayed also except when the tape is traveling at a constant speed.

    • PURPOSE:To couple directly a line amplifier and a recording amplifier by decreasing a time constant comprising a negative feedback resistor of a negative feedback amplifier and a capacitor between a negative feedback point and a common point less than a time constant viewed from a control circuit to control a transistor (TR) of said capacitor circuit. CONSTITUTION:The negative feedback resistor R3 is connected between an output point of the negative feedback amplifier 2 and its negative feedback point, and a passive circuit having a series capacitor C5 is connected between the negative feedback point and the common point through a switching TR1. The 1st time constant comprising the negative feedback resistor R3 and the capacitor C5 is decreased less than the 2nd time constant comprising an impedance viewed from the control circuit connected to a base of the TR1 and the capacitor C5. Thus, the effect due to a charge current is almost eliminated and distortion is reduced remarkably.

    • PURPOSE:To ensure the sufficient compensation of a high band despite of a low level of power supply voltage by extracting a recording signal to be supplied to a magnetic head from a joint between an inductor and a capacitor of a series resonance circuit which is inserted between an output terminal of a line amplifier and an earth or a power supply. CONSTITUTION:The output of a line amplifier 2 is led to a monitor output terminal 3 and also supplied to a series resonance circuit consisting of an inductor L1 and a capacitor C2. Then this output is mixed with bias and supplied to a magnetic head 6 from an intersecting point of the inductor L1 and the capacitor C2 via a resistance R3 for recording of constant current. As a result, the amplitude larger than the power supply voltage is obtained at a resonance point as long as the amplifier 2 has a function to flow a sufficient amoung of current to the resonance circuit of the L1 and the C2. Thus it is possible to perform recording with high quality even with a portable VTR, etc. having a low level of power supply voltage.

    • PURPOSE:To produce a magnetic recording/reproducing device with a simple circuit constitution and a low cost and with no deterioration of characteristics, by supplying the monitor output of a record signal to the 1st compensating circuit and the output of the 1st compensating circuit to the 2nd compensating circuit to obtain the output of the 2nd compensating circuit. CONSTITUTION:In a record mode, a resonance circuit consislting of an inductance L1 and a capacitor C1 is connected to a line amplifier 2 in order to compensate the recording loss. The output of the amplifier 2 is mixed with the bias signal, and a record current is supplied to a record/reproduction magnetic head 6. A signal having the integrated characteristics is led to a line output terminal 3 to obtain the sufficiently flat characteristics. In a reproduction mode, the reproduction loss is compensated by the same compensating circuit of the amplifier 2 as the record mode. In such a way, a record amplifier can be excluded and at the same time the loss can by compensated with just a single LPF. Furthermore an additional circuit has a simple constitution. Thus it is possible to produce a magnetic recording/reproducing device with a simple circuit constitution and a low cost and with no deterioration of characteristics.

If 10MHz FM carrier frequency is set up lower than the frequency of an erase signal, an audio signal obtained by FM-modulating the erase signal efficiently by an effect equal to the AC bias of a tape recorder is recorded. The recorded video signal is immediately erased by the erase signal. Subsequently, a video signal is superposed to a track on which the FM-modulated audio signal is recorded by using video heads 2, 3.
