    • PURPOSE:To form a cylindrical projection of sufficient height on a material tube by narrowing a bulging hole elongated in axial direction provided in the die to bulge a part of the material tube simultaneously with axial compression of the material tube and thereby thickening the bulged part. CONSTITUTION:A material tube 1 in which a mandrel 34 is inserted is placed on a lower die 27. The tip of the mandrel 34 is inserted into a metal fitting 32 to make the material tube 1 in the closed state. At the same time, an upper die support 22 is lowered on a lower die support 23 and fastened by fastening force W. Then, high bulging liquid pressure P is applied to inlet holes 35, 36 and initial bulging pressure is introduced in the material tube 1. When the material tube 1 is compressed in axial direction by compressive force F through the mandrel 34, an elliptic bulging hole 40 is bulged out. At the same time, a sliding upper die 39 advances and its tip 39a presses and thickens the bulged part, and causes plastic deformation from an elliptic form to a circular form. The height of projection is increased, and a T-shaped tube is formed.

    • PURPOSE:To closely insert an inner tube into an outer shell tube to slide movably, and to improve the accuracy of the spherical flexible joint, by swelling out the outer shell tube which is swell-formed by extruding with upper and lower forming dies while affecting high liquid pressure in the blank material of inner tube, and holding the outer shell tube with the inner tube forming die, and swelling out said blank material in the outer shell tube. CONSTITUTION:An upper forming die 17 is lifted and removed from a guide cylinder 13 and a blank pipe 10' is inserted into a space between a projected part 15a of an end plug 15 and a lower forming die 16, and then, an upper end plug 21 is lowered until it contacts with the upper end of the blank pipe 10'. Then, a liquid pressure is introduced into the blank pipe 10' from a liquid pressure introducing path 14 and, at the same time, the blank pipe 10' is compressed in the direction of the axis by lowering the upper forming die 17 until a space 25 disappears. The blank pipe 10' is expanded toward the inner surface of spherical cavities 16a and 17a of the upper and lower forming dies 16 and 17. After the blank pipe 10' is expanded, its end part and a part of the spherical part are cut off, and thus, a formed outer shell tube 10 is obtained. Then, the outer shell tube 10 is inserted into a lower forming die 26 together with a blank pipe for inner tube 11'. Thereafter, the blank pipe 11' is spherically expanded toward the inner wall of the spherical part 10a of the outer shell tube, and thus, a spherical flexible pipe joint in which the inner tube 11 is joined to the outer shell tube 10 is obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To mass-produce a lightweight product of high quality, by applying the drawing work and the hydraulic bulging work to the blank tube. CONSTITUTION:The outer surface of middle zone of the blank tube 10 is firmly held by upper and lower holders 30a, b; the pistons 34a, b, press the drawing dies 32a, b, set on outside of both ends of the blank tube 10, toward the middle of the blank tube 10, whose both ends' diameter is hereby reduced; by which a drawn tube 11 is obtained. Next, this drawn tube 11 is set in the segmental bulging dies 40a, b, and the bulging pressure is applied to the inside of the drawn tube 11; at the same time, the bulging dies 40a, b, are axially compressed in order to bulge the middle of the drawn tube 11 into a desired shape corresponding to the dies' cavity; hereby, a bulged tube 13, provided with symmetrical differential gear holding dome and excess metal absorbing dome, is obtained. The excess metal absorbing dome of this bulged tube 13 is cut off the insertion port for the driving mechanism is formed, and besides, a reinforcing plate is welded around the insertion port.
