    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wave dissipation effect enabled only by inserting the wave dissipation member inside an existing tank body.
      SOLUTION: The wave dissipation member 37 composed by a box type container 38 housing a sponge 39 (or a drain board, mesh, or the like) applying resistance to passage of fuel is disposed inside the tank body 11 of a fuel tank T, thus the box type container 38 or the sponge 39 in the container 38 absorbs shock caused by collision of fuel, reduces noise caused by wave of the fuel, and effectively restrains rough movement of the fuel surface. The existing tank body 11 needs no change, providing high versatility and reduced cost. The wave dissipation member 37 can be inserted from the existing openings 11d, 11f of the tank body 11, dispensing with special openings.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piping structure of a fuel tank capable of increasing the capacity of the fuel tank and piping in the area between a canister without impairing the capacity of the fuel tank.
      SOLUTION: The piping structure 33 of the fuel tank includes the fuel tank 13 installed in front of a rear cross member 61 connecting the undersurface of the underbody 15 of a vehicle 12 and the canister 31 installed behind the rear cross member 61 for processing the vapor gas led through a communication passage 27 in connection with the top plate part 43 of the fuel tank 13, wherein the underbody 15 is furnished with a swollen portion 51 isolated from the rear cross member 61 partially. The communication passage 27 which must be positioned at a high level even through such a procedure that part of the top plate part 43 of the fuel tank 13 is swollen along the swollen portion 51, can be connected with the canister w31 behind the rear cross member 61 upon threading between the underbody 15 and the rear cross member 61.
