A communicating person inputs the communication purpose, retrieves the communication event based on the inputted communication purpose and displays the retrieved result on a display screen. From the displayed retrieved result, a user designates the desired communicating party, and a communication path is established with the terminal equipment of the designated communicating party.

When a person issuing the instruction concerned is the program for himself, the value of the transmission logical communication line identifier 240 is stored in the identifier 250, and the value of a program identifier for transmission destination 255, and the value of a program identifier for reception destination 260 are substituted.
