摘要： PURPOSE:To realize a highly uniform magnetic field by determining shim coil currents so as to make zero the components including all of the residual components of a main coil and shim coils except the uniform magnetic field component. The currents of the respective shim coils are determined by solving n-pieces of simultaneous equations relating to the shim coil currents i1, i2...ia at which the nonuniform component g(x, y, z) of the magnetic field expressed by the right equation at said point (x, y, z).

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent a runner from being damaged by a method wherein a crown or a shrouded ring is thickened gradually toward the part of joint of a blade and thereby the vibration stress concentrating on the part is reduced in the runner of a pump and a water turbine. CONSTITUTION:In a turbine wheel having large capacity and operated at a high speed, a crown 1 and a shrouded ring 3 vibrate strongly in the axial direction by hydraulic pulsations, whereby the vibration stress occurs intensively in and around the joint of a blade. In order to prevent this intensive occurence of the vibration stress in the region, the thickness of the joint of the crown 1 and the shrouded ring 3 with the blade and its vicinity on the surface of the inner periphery of a runner is enlarged, while the thickness of the part from there to the vicinity of the center of a water inlet port 4 is lessened gradually. In addition, it is also possible that another thick part 64 is provided on the outer periphery of the runner, while the central part of the water inlet port 4 where the stress is small is thinned and filled with a damping material 84, thereby augmenting the damping effect.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in ion pump exhaust performance by a method Wherein the directions of a leakage magnetic field of a deflection electromagnet and a principal magnetic field of an ion pump or an axis of a cavity anode of the ion pump are approximately aligned to each other. Since the direction of the magnetic field 13 of the ion pump 4 and the axial direction of a cavity anode 9 align to each other, the ion pump 4 has been placed to be also aligned to the axial direction of the cavity anode 9 and the direction of the leakage magnetic field 14 of the superconductive deflection electromagnet 2. Thus the leakage magnetic field 14 if existing from the deflection electromagnet 2 does not deteriorate the exhaust performance of the ion pump 4 but rather improves the exhaust performance of the ion pump 4.

摘要： PURPOSE:To realize miniaturization and to improve uniformity of a magnetic field, by holding magnetic pole pieces which face each other and are made of ferromagnetic materials, and by generating a magnetic field in a gap part between these magnetic pole pieces and symmetrically disposing permanent magnet materials adjacent to the respective magnetic pole pieces so that the permanent magnet materials are magnetized almost perpendicularly to the magnetic field which is generated in the gap part and magnetized reversely to each other. CONSTITUTION:Annular permanent magnet materials 3 and 3' are disposed inside magnetic paths 2 and 2' which are made of cylindrical ferromagnetic materials. The permanent magnet materials 3 and 3' are magnetized almost perpendicularly to the magnetic field in a gap space 6 and magnetized reversely to each other. Magnetic pole pieces 7, 7', and 4, 4' which are made of ferromagnetic materials and serve as inner magnetic paths are disposed in contact with the inside of the permanent magnet materials 3, 3'. Magnetic flux generated in the permanent magnetic materials 3, 3' is made to flow in the gap space 6 by way of the inner magnetic paths 7, 7' and 4, 4'. The inner magnetic paths 7, 7' are made thin in the degree that their magnetic flux is not generated, in order to realize a decrease in weight and to improve uniformity of the magnetic field in the gap space 6, and they are made thicker in the direction of the gap space 6. Hence, miniaturization and small weight can be realized.
