    • PURPOSE:To enable a guide bearing to be well cooled, by tilting an oil delivery hole with a position of its delivery side lower than that of its suction side and providing a step difference on the internal wall of a guide runner in an upper part of the suction side, in the case of a guide bearing device or the like of a vertical shaft water turbine generator. CONSTITUTION:An oil delivery hole 5a drilled in a guide runner 1a is tilted at an angle theta so that a delivery side M of the hole is positioned lower than its suction side N, and step difference 8 is provided on an internal wall of the guide runner in an upper part of the suction side N. In this way, oil in an annular oil chamber 3a is easily sucked into the oil delivery hole 5a, and its delivery oil flow (b) is directed toward the bottom part side of an oil tank 3 in almost the same direction as the direction of a circulative oil flow (a) in the bottom part of a guide bearing 2, never interfering with the circulative oil flow (a), thus the circulative oil flow (a) well circulates to perform good cooling of the guide bearing 2.

    • PURPOSE: To prevent the seizure of a thrust bearing device for a heavy water wheel generator or the like, by dividing a collar into an inner and an outer collars and making the outer collar of a monolithic body whose inside diameter is large than the outside diameter of a flange.
      CONSTITUTION: The collar of a bearing device is divided into an outer collar 8 and an inner collar 9. The inner collar 9 is split into two sections. The outer collar 8 is made monolithic. Thrust bearings 6, 7 support the collar 8 slidably. The collar 9 is fitted on the central part of a shaft 1. The collar 8 whose inside diameter D

      1 ' of flanges of the shaft 1 is fitted on the peripheral surface of the collar 9. The thrust bearings 6, 7 support the collar 8 on both its sides so that the collar can slide. Since a sliding section has no divided parts, oil which makes films on the thrust bearings 6, 7 does not escape. Therefore, the thrust bearings 6, 7 are protected from seizure.
