    • PURPOSE:To make a synchronous operation easy and to enlarge a range of synchronous timing, by providing an auxiliary speed matching valve on a bypass system connecting an outlet side of a reheat boiler with an auxiliary condenser. CONSTITUTION:Reheat steam to be sent from a reheat boiler 10 is led to a medium pressure turbine 3 through a reheat steam stop valve 17 and an intercept valve 16, and after the reheat steam of the medium pressure turbine 3 is led to a main and an auxiliary low pressure turbines 4a and 4b respectively it is discharged into a main and an auxiliary condensers 6a and 6b respectively. A part of a main steam flow bypassed through a high pressure turbine 2 and the main low pressure turbine 4 is controlled by a main speed matching valve 13. A part of a reheat steam flow bypassed through the medium pressure turbine 3 and the auxiliary low pressure turbine 4b is controlled by an auxiliary speed matching valve 18. Two-shaft synchronization can be realised in a short period of time and easily by both the valves 13 and 18.

    • PURPOSE:To enable the separation and discharge of large and hard pieces of scale which erode the steam passage of a turbine and to prevent a steam shut-off function from being lost, by providing a scale dropping circumferential groove on the peripheral part of a valve seat in the casing of an emergency shut-off valve. CONSTITUTION:When the valve element of an emergency shut-off valve 7 is opened in the trial run or the like of a turbine, steam from a boiler flows into the peripheral part of a valve chamber 4 through an inlet section 3 and passes through the strainers 13-11 of a strainer unit and a valve seat 6 and flows out of a steam outlet section 5. Extraneous substances conveyed in by the flow of the steam are removed by the strainers 13, 12. For the normal run of the turbine, the strainers 13, 12 are detached. In the normal run, large and hard pieces of scale conveyed in by the flow of steam are caused to collide against the lower part of a cylinder 10 and be dropped to a circumferential groove 14 for separation because the pieces of scale are introduced along the seat portion of the inlet section 3. The dropped and separated pieces of scale are removed through a chamber 15 and a discharge hole 17 under a dam 16.
