      SOLUTION: In the work machine for a wide rectangular continuous hole, a plurality of excavating rods which vertically movably support a rotation driving device on a support members erected on the ground are arranged so that a plurality of rows of the excavating rods standing in parallel with one another are placed in a longitudinal direction. The excavating rods are connected to the rotation driving device in a manner capable of transmitting rotation thereof, and hung from the device.
