摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic-inorganic gradient composite membrane having a component gradient structure in which rate of content of an inorganic component continuously changes in the direction of membrane thickness, simultaneously excellent in transparency and allowable to control the thickness of the gradient structure in the range from several tens nm to several hundreds nm. SOLUTION: Disclosed is an organic-inorganic gradient composite membrane comprising a thin membrane formed by applying on a base material a solution obtained by adding a dilution solvent to an organic-inorganic composite comprising polymerizing at least one kind of an organic compound having a functional group formable an organic polymer chain in the presence of an inorganic polymer compound, and having a component gradient structure in which the rate of content of the inorganic component of the thin membrane continuously changes from the surface of the membrane to the depth direction.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming material using a photocatalyst having a layer including highly water repellent or oil repellent effect and capable of forming a superhydrophilic and superlipophilic surface by a simple method only by irradiating with a light without necessity of a developing unit and obtaining an ink not limited by a composition, a viscosity or the like or particularly an ink carrier layer and an ink repellent layer corresponding to a lithographic printing ink. SOLUTION: The image forming material using the photocatalyst comprises an ink repellent layer exhibiting highly water repellent or oil repellent property by water repellent or oil repellent treating the photocatalyst having a fine rugged structure on the surface and repellent to a wide ink not limited by a composition, a viscosity or the like or particularly a lithographic printing ink, and a photocatalytic layer of highly hydrophilic and lipophilic surface exposed by exciting the photocatalytic layer by irradiating with a light and decomposing to remove by its oxidation decomposing reaction and used as an ink carrying layer. An image formable region is provided by the lighographic printing ink exhibiting the relationship between the thickness of the water repellent and oil repellent layer capable of becoming the ink repellent layer and the yield value of the lithographic printing ink.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve hydrophilicity and to prevent deterioration in stability of properties by preliminarily irradiating a photocatalyst with light of higher intensity than that of the light which induces hydrophilicity to the photocatalyst surface. SOLUTION: The photocatalyst is preliminarily irradiated with light at higher intensity than the intensity of excitation light which induces hydrophilicity when the catalyst is used. For example, if about 0.01 mW/cm2 intensity of the excitation light is to be used, the photocatalyst is preliminarily irradiated with light at about >=0.1 mW/cm2 intensity, which is namely 10 times or more intensity. Thus, highly ampliphilic property can be maintained. For example, the surface of titanium oxide single crystal is irradiated with UV rays at about 40 mW/cm2 intensity and about 300 to 400 nm wavelength by using a mercury xenon lamp. By this method, the contact angle with water decreases with irradiation time, and the surface is changed to be hydrophilic. Thereby, the hydrophilic function of the photocatalyst is improved and its stability can be maintained.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To oxide and decompose a harmful material which may diffuse into environment due to the incineration of polymer products or the like to make it harmless by previously incorporating a compound exhibiting photocatalytic oxidation capability by heating in the production process. SOLUTION: An amorphous photocatalyst easily crystallizing at a low temp. is used to obtain advanced photocatalytic activity by heating. As a compound easily crystallized and exhibiting photocatalytic oxidation capability, a uniform amorphous titanium oxide is preferable. A transition metal oxide or its precursor may be previously additionally incorporated in the product and the transition metal oxide to be used is preferably vanadium oxide. An adsorbent such as zeolite or activated carbon may be added in the mixed catalyst. The generation of the harmful waste is suppressed and the adsorbed harmful waste is photocatalytically decomposed by adding a trace quantity of the catalyst into a product generating a hormonic material and having probability to cause environmental pollution in the incineration disposal.

The photocatalyst is titanium dioxide and the circulation bed is a filter using a superoxide vanisher and an org. material oxidizable with hydroxy radicals. The filter is connected to an air discharge hole of an air cleaner contg. a titanium dioxide photocatalyst and an illuminator for exciting the photocatalyst. A superoxide dismutase is used as the superioxide vanisher. The hydroxy radical vanisher is not particularly limited and, for example, ascorbic acid is used.
