    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnostic method of a cable insulation deterioration service life capable of confirming the deterioration degree of an insulated cable coated with a polyolefin until the end of the service life, performing deterioration diagnosis for diagnosing the progression degree of deterioration with age and service life diagnosis for predicting the deterioration service life, highly accurately, simply and easily. SOLUTION: This method for performing insulation deterioration service life diagnosis of the cable by measuring an infrared absorption spectrum of the polyolefin coating the cable is an insulation deterioration service life diagnostic method for determining the absorbance ratio between the carbonyl group absorbance of the polyolefin and the standard spectrum absorbance, and diagnosing the deterioration degree from the change with age. Similarly, the method is also the insulation deterioration service life diagnostic method for estimating the remaining service life of the cable from the end of the service life determined beforehand.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deterioration diagnostic method of a power cable, which diagnose the deterioration of the power cable by applying such a sealed type device of a gas insulated switchgear or the like as a power charging terminal using a loss current method, capable of precisely diagnosing the deterioration of the power cable dispensing with sealing and unsealing working of the sealed device.
      SOLUTION: The ground side of a ES terminal part 21 in a gas insulated switchgear 1 is connected with a diagnostic device 3, and is connected with a dummy cable 5. By applying a voltage from the diagnostic device 3 to the power cable 1 through the ES terminal part 21 after closing the ES terminal part 21, the first deterioration signal is measured. Then, by applying a voltage to the ES terminal part 21 and a dummy cable 5 after opening the ES terminal part 21, the second deterioration signal is measured. Using the signal obtained by reducing the second deterioration signal from the first deterioration signal, the deterioration of the power cable 1 is diagnosed.
