    • PURPOSE:To obtain a probe ideal for the flaw detection of a rugged object to be inspected such as welding beads, by making the surface abutting on a tubular object to be inspected into a shape of a concave column with the circumference-wise end thereof bevelled at a specified angle. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a wedge 2 is worked to match the shape of an object 9 to be detected so that the center of the curvature radius 13 will fall on the axis of an ultrasonic beam 10 with the angle of refraction of 0 deg.. The angle between the front and the contact surface of a wedge shall be such to overcome a projection or the lice easily and has a correction face 14. The angle between the rear surface and the contact surface 16 thereof also has a correction face 15. It should be noted that the face 15 shall be as deep as possible and the face 16 as small as possible. The probe thus obtained is appli cable for the direction method as well as the gap method. It is also applicable for the single detection as well as the double-split type and further for the type with a shoe and the wedge type. This facilitates the circumferential ultra sonic flaw detection about a weld part of a piping joint.

CONSTITUTION:The peripheral track crossing vertical tracks 3 and supports 5 consists of upper peripheral tracks 2a, 2b and lower peripheral tracks 2a', 2b' while supports 7 are provided so as to bridge the space between the peripheral tracks 2a, 2a' and the space between the peripheral tracks 2b, 2b'. Vibration dampening tools 8 are also provided between the supports 5, 7 and a gamma-shield 11 so as to bridge both of them and vibration dampening tools 12 bridging the vertical tracks 3 and the gamma-shield 11 are provided to the lower sides of the vertical tracks 3. Tracks 1a, 1b are supported through the vibration dampening tools 8, 12 by the gamma-shield 11. When the heights from the peripheral tracks 2a, 2b to brackets 6 are made equal, the parts below the peripheral tracks 2a, 2b are displaced during thermal deformation while the same relative position is held and heat stress is absorbed by the action of the link mechanisms 8a of the vibration dampening tools 8, 12. The vibration of the tracks 1a, 1b caused by an earthquake becomes stationary because of being elastically supported in the vertical and radius directions and restrained in the movement thereof to the peripheral direction by the vibration dampening tools 8, 12.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection device and an inspection method for a diffuser of a jet pump, capable of moving and installing accurately a sensor of an inspection device body, wherein inspection position accuracy is excellent and an inspection work is simple.
      SOLUTION: In this inspection device for the diffuser, the inspection device body 2 is inserted into the diffuser from which an inlet mixer is dismounted, and inspection is performed from the inner surface by the sensor of the inspection device body 2, and the inspection device body 2 is arranged movably in a protection cylinder 1 inserted inside from an upper opening of the diffuser. A positioning member 5 on which a recessed groove 6 is formed used as a position regulation means is provided on the upper end of the protection cylinder 1, and the recessed groove 6 is engaged with a projection part on the upper end of the diffuser. The inspection device body 2 is constituted of an axial-direction moving means 10 for adjusting a height-direction position of the sensor 43, a circumferential-direction driving means 20 for adjusting circumferential-direction movement of the sensor, a clamp 30 of the position regulation means for pressing the inspection device body onto the diffuser inner surface, and a sensor means 40 for inspecting an inspection object portion.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate existence of a crack even when a specimen is positioned in the water and on a narrow part, or in the case of a structure discontinuous body having a weld zone or the like, and to evaluate hardness in an underwater environment.
      SOLUTION: A vibration rod crimped on a reactor in-core structure by applying a fixed load in the underwater environment is vibrated, and the eigenfrequency is measured, to thereby evaluate existence of a crack on the specimen or the hardness thereof. Hereby, existence of the crack can be simply evaluated even when the specimen is positioned in a reactor pressure vessel or positioned in the water and on the narrow part, or in the case of the structure discontinuous body having the weld zone or the like. The hardness can be also evaluated in the underwater environment.

Magnetic crawlers 13 (caterpillar) are arranged in two right and left arrays along the travel direction of an ultrasonic inspection device 10 by attraction in conformity with the reverse surface shape of the lower mirror 2. One of travel guides 15 and 15 of the ultrasonic inspection device 10 is fixed and the other guide 15 is pressed by a spring, so the inspection device 10 travels along the CRD housings 3. A slide arm 14 fitted at right angles to the travel direction scans the circumference of a weld zone 6 with the ultrasonic probe 11 at its tip to perform specific ultrasonic inspection.
