    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an opening/closing life characteristic, in a vacuum valve used in a liquid.
      SOLUTION: This vacuum valve is provided with: a fixation-side sealing fitting 3 sealed to one end of a vacuum insulation vessel 1; a fixation-side current-carrying shaft 4 fixed to the fixation-side sealing fitting 3; a fixation-side contact 5 fixed to an end of the fixation-side current-carrying shaft 4; a movable-side sealing fitting 2 sealed to the other end of the vacuum insulation vessel 1; a movable-side current-carrying shaft 7 penetrating the movable-side sealing fitting 2; a movable-side contact 6 fixed to an end of the movable-side current-carrying shaft 7; a bellows 8 airtightly fixed between the movable-side current-carrying shaft 7 and the movable-side sealing fitting 2; a bearing guide 9 arranged on the atmospheric pressure side of the bellows 8; and a plurality of liquid flow holes 21 formed on the movable-side current-carrying shaft 7, and making the atmospheric pressure side of the bellows 8 communicate with the outside of the vacuum insulation vessel 1 at any position in bringing the contacts 5 and 6 into with each other and separating them from each other. The vacuum valve is characterized by setting cross-sectional areas of openings at both ends of each liquid flow hole 21 larger than that of an intermediate part thereof.
