摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming and image removing method and apparatus system by which an image is completely removed without leaving any portion of the image from a recording material on which the image is formed by a recording method using a thermoplastic powder, while avoiding use of excess energy as much as possible. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has: a means for recording an image by using a powder of a thermoplastic image forming substance; a means for imparting a colorless powder or a powder of the base color of a recording material or of a white color or a pale color, to the recording material before an image is formed; a means for thermally fixing a thermoplastic image after the image is formed on the recording material to which the above powder has been imparted without subjecting the power to a fixing process; and a control means for imparting a colorless substance or a substance in the base color of the recording material to the recording material only in an image portion with a small deposition amount of the image forming substance (a low image density portion) and/or a portion close to the periphery of the image.
