    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foaming insect pest control agent having excellent foamability in foaming from an aerosol container, capable of capturing efficiently insect pests living in a wide area, capturing wandering insect pests for long hours, and maintaining stability, namely, control action of foam for long hours.SOLUTION: A foaming liquid agent is prepared, which includes as essential components, a water-soluble glycol-based solvent containing 1.0-11.0 mass% glycol ether such as diethyleneglycol monobutylether having such a prescribed solubility that, when a mixed solution of 1 pt.mass 2-octyl dodecanol and 4 pts.mass water is transparentized at room temperature, the required amount as an amphiphilic solvent is ≤25 pts.mass; a lipophilic pest-controlling effective component containing an insect growth regulator; a surfactant; a 12-14C higher alcohol; and water. Then, a foaming insect pest control agent contained in an aerosol container is obtained by filling the foaming liquid agent into an aerosol container with an injection valve together with a propellant. The lipophilic pest-controlling effective component is dissolved into the water-soluble solvent, and further foamability in the dissolved or dispersed state into water is heightened sufficiently, and foam is spread over a wide area from the blown out and foamed state from aerosol, to thereby obtain the efficient application state of the pest-controlling effective component.
