PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pasteurizing and cleaning composition usable for pasteurizing medical equipment or the like, and having reduced foaming power.
SOLUTION: The pasteurizing and cleaning composition consists of (a) the first liquid containing peracetic acid in an amount providing 0.2-0.4 w/w% peracetic acid concentration in a practical liquid, and (b) the second liquid containing at least a nonionic or ampholytic surfactant in an amount providing 0.01-0.5 w/w% concentration and a solvent ≥5 wt.% of which is dissolvable in water and which is in an amount providing 5.0-95.0 w/w% concentration.
