The press has a blanket motor 9 consisting of a servomotor that rotates the blanket roll 3, a horizontal movement motor 10 consisting of the servomotor that moves the blanket roll 3 or the table 5 horizontally and a control means 13 for controlling the respective speed of the blanket motor 9 and the horizontal movement motor 10. The control means 13 makes different the peripheral speed of the blanket roll 3 and the speed of horizontal movement of the blanket roll 3 or the table 5 different from each other by changing the speed of the blanket motor 9 or the horizontal movement motor 10.
