    • PURPOSE:To fasten a rail surely and easily, by a method wherein the flange part of the rail is depressed and held by the top end parts, upper and lower, of a plate spring with an almost U-shaped section at a side view and the base of the plate spring is inserted into a recessed engagement part of a fastening holder fastened onto a rail support from sideward. CONSTITUTION:A base 27 of a plate spring 13 is inserted into a recessed engagement part 45 through the side opening part of a fastening holder 14 fastened onto a rail support 20. At this time, a first arm part 25 on the spring 13 and a second arm part 26 thereon are bent, and depress a flange part 12 of the rail 11 from above. Large frictional force is generated between the holder 14 and the spring 13 by one reaction being caused by pressing-in the base 27 into the recessed part 45 and by the other reaction being caused by receiving force from the rail 11 through the arms 25, 26, and the spring 13 is strongly fastened to the holder 14. Furthermore, since the lengths of the arms 25, 26 can be lengthened and spring constant is made small, the decrease of force to be fastened, which is caused by the abrasion of the top end parts of the spring 13, is made small and rail-fastening force is made stable. In addition, the dispersion of the value of resistance against rail-creeping and the movement of a track pad are decreased. In this way, the looseness of a fastener can be prevented and the work of fastening the rail can be easily automated.

    • PCT No. PCT/FR88/00495 Sec. 371 Date Apr. 6, 1990 Sec. 102(e) Date Apr. 6, 1990 PCT Filed Oct. 6, 1988 PCT Pub. No. WO89/03452 PCT Pub. Date Apr. 20, 1989.This invention relates to a clip for fastening a rail of a railway on a rail support comprising: a spring clip forming a device for fastening or clamping the rail on a rail support, constituted by a clip made of elastic metal having a first end and a second end and presenting successively, from the first end, a first section forming a substantially rectilinear arm, a second section forming a substantially 180 DEG bend, a third section, a fourth section forming a substantially 180 DEG bend and a fifth section disposed substantially parallel to the rail and adapted to exert a clamping effort on the base flange of the rail, and an anchoring device adapted to receive the spring clip and embedded or fixed in the rail support, wherein the spring clip comprises a sixth section disposed transversely with respect to the fifth section, being directed towards the first section so that, when the spring clip is mounted on the anchoring device, the spring clip clamps the base flange of the rail by its fifth section, and a transverse sixth section cooperates with an aperture for stopping displacement of the spring clip, fast with the anchoring device.
