    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable speedup of accessing on one hand and enhance the accuracy in magnetic head positioning control at tracking one the other, while minimizing both the occurrence of EMI noise and the heat generation which may induce read/write errors at linear drive.
      SOLUTION: This magnetic disc storage device is equipped with a linear drive mode for driving a voice coil motor by linear control and a pulse drive mode for driving the voice coil motor by pulse width control. When the drive current of the voice coil motor is small, this device makes it execute the linear drive mode; and when the current is large, this makes it execute the pulse drive mode. The linear drive mode and the pulse drive mode are conducted, using common output amplifiers (3 and 4). The output amplifier is a push-pull system of output circuit and in linear drive mode, A/B-class actions are set, and in pulse drive mode, the B-class action is set.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently lower a gear shift shock so as to easily provide comfortableness by computing transmission torque inputted to an automatic transmission, controlling a clamping pressure for a frictional member on the basis of the transmission torque, and correcting engine torque on the basis of the inputted number of revolutions and the inputted torque. SOLUTION: An automatic transmission control unit 8 carries out various kinds of required computing according to the number of turbine revolutions, the number of output shaft revolutions, various kinds of signals from oil temperature sensors, 17, 18, 22, the number of engine revolutions, a throttle opening and the like so as to compute an optimum speed ratio. In compliance with the selected optimum speed ratio, a valve opening drive signal is fed to a solenoid valve 23a in an oil pressure circuit 6, while a control signal is fed to a control solenoid 23b, and the solenoid valve 23a switches an oil pressure route in the oil pressure circuit 6 for controlling an oil pressure. This oil pressure is a hydraulic pressure fed to a frictional clutch for switching a transmission ratio based on a gear train 16, and according to this hydraulic pressure, a clamping force for the frictional member in the frictional clutch mechanism is decided and engine torque is corrected.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a correct detection output by setting a means close to a detection means for stimulating and driving the detection means and carrying out online a self diagnosis or self calibration. SOLUTION: This detecting apparatus has a stimulating means 2, integrally set close to a detecting means, thereby applying a calibration signal through the means. A response delay from the detecting apparatus is brought about extremely few. Moreover, since a high-speed signal-processing circuit is used, the required time for a self calibration can be shortened in comparison with a change time of measured values. Even when self calibration is conducted during the measurement, an output of the detecting apparatus is not disturbed that is, the so-called 'online calibration' is enabled. More specifically, a multiplexer operates in accordance with a command from a microcomputer having a memory, takes an output signal of the detecting means 1 into an amplifier and an analog digital converter to covert the signal into a digital signal. Based on this value, a source voltage is supplied, the calibration signal is applied via the amplifier to the stimulating means 2, or the like. A highly accurate output that can correct errors is obtained accordingly.
