    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that, in a control method in which forward feeding and backward feeding of a wire are periodically alternated, and in which a welding output is made low during a period where the feed amount of the wire is small and the welding output is made high during a period where the feed amount of the wire is large, a short circuit state between a welding object and the welding wire is mainly mechanically opened during a period where the feed amount of the wire is small, but opening of a short circuit is not necessarily smoothly conducted, depending on a kind of disturbance, because the wire is fed forward by small and small and further a current is low although the feed amount of the wire is small. SOLUTION: The method for arc welding includes: a step of calculating a variation amount of a welding voltage per unit time for each predetermined sampling period to compare the calculated variation amount with a reference threshold value for detecting a constriction; and a step of determining detection of a constriction when the number of times, at which the variation amount of a welding voltage per unit time continuously exceeds the reference threshold value for detecting a constriction at each predetermined sampling period, reaches a predetermined number of times.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arc welding method and an arc welding system, capable of forming a scale-like bead with a better appearance.
      SOLUTION: The arc welding method includes: a first step of transferring a molten droplet while generating an arc a by passing a welding current between a consumable electrode 15 and a welding base material W in such a manner that the average value of absolute values is a first value; and a second step of keeping the state in which the arc is generated by passing the welding current in such a manner that the average value of absolute values is a second value smaller than the first value, wherein the first and second steps are alternately repeated. In the second step, a feeding speed Vf of the consumable electrode is increased when an welding voltage Vw between the consumable electrode 15 and the base material W is larger than a predetermined standard welding voltage Vst; and the feeding speed Vf is decreased when the welding voltage Vw is smaller than the standard welding voltage Vst. By the way, the method can suppress confusion in the appearance of the welding bead, which is caused by an excessive welding-voltage, or disappearance of the arc, which is caused by an insufficient welding-voltage.
