摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas meter which can restrict consumption power and detect the presence/absence of a gas leak with high accuracy at an automatic gas leak inspection carried out when a shutting valve is once opened after closed by some reason. SOLUTION: In a gas leak inspection carried out by opening a shutting valve temporarily after a flow passage is shut because of a flow rate abnormality, a flow sensor 30 is used in a normal sensitivity mode. On the other hand, in a gas leak inspection carried out by temporarily opening the shutting valve after the flow passage is shut consequent to the detection of an earthquake, the flow sensor 30 is used in a high sensitivity mode. Accordingly, the flow sensor 30 is limited in usage in the high sensitivity mode consuming a large amount of power, and enabled to detect a minute gas leak which may be caused by the earthquake while the power required for the gas leak inspection when the sensor is recovered after the shutting valve is driven is reduced. Particularly, a life of a battery can be elongated in a gas meter driven by the battery.

SOLUTION: A pressure sensor 31 is attached to a service cheese part 20 arranged at a branch part between a main branch pipe 11 and a service pipe 12 outside a light and detects a pressure P1 of gas at the branch part between the main branch pipe 11 and the service pipe 12. A pressure sensor 32 is attached in the detection hole of a rise pipe 15 for a gas meter 13 running from the service pipe 12 to a gas meter 13, and detects a pressure P2 in a spot situated downstream from the service pipe 12. When a difference P1 -P2 between the detecting pressure P1 of a pressure sensor 31 and the detecting pressure P2 of a pressure sensor 32 when no gas flows exceeds a given threshold, it is decided that gas leakage occurs to the service pipe 12.

摘要： PURPOSE: To monitor the pressure of gas being fed through a gas piping and the state of a gas consumption apparatus and the piping thereof using a single pressure sensor having ordinary resolution. CONSTITUTION: Pressure of gas in a gas supply pipe is detected by a pressure sensor 22 and the output therefrom is amplified at an amplifier section 30 before being measured. An amplifier having different characteristics is selected through switching depending on the purpose of measurement so that a wide range low gain amplifier 31 is used for measuring the pressure of normal gas whereas a high gain narrow range amplifier 32 is used when the pressure is measured in order to detect gas leakage. The amplifiers 31, 32 are switched by means of switches 33, 34 under control of control/arithmetic section 23. With such constitution, a high resolution pressure sensor is not required and only a single inexpensive pressure sensor 22 having ordinary resolution is required.

The plane shape of the folded section 35c is in a circle shape which is coaxial with the peripheral section 35b of the piezo electric film main body 35a. After the piezo electric film main body 35a has been formed by punching piezo electric material in a sheet shape into a profile specified in size (circle shape), the piezo electric main body 35a is so manufactures as to be pressed and molded into the folded section 35c. The flexibility of the piezo electric film main body 35a is increased by the folded section 35c, and it can thereby be reasonably mounted onto a cylindrical support member.

Thereby, measurement with high accuracy can be conducted from a minute flow rate range to a large flow rate range, and since the flow of a fluid is not allowed to interrupt, the changeover of two fluidic elements can be performed smoothly. Since the by-pass valve 106 is opened when the large size fluidic element 103 is selected, the occurrence of a pressure loss by the small size fluidic element 104 can be prevented.

An averaging circuit 41 averages the output signal of the linearization circuit 40. The output signal of the averaging circuit 41 is input to an arithmetic part 45 via an A/D converter 42, and the part operates the flow rate.
